Trick question? If the first three books are a trilogy, isn't the fourth book the start of the second trilogy?

@PeterShor - It might be, or, as with So Long, and Thanks For All the Fish, it might simply be the fourth book of the trilogy.

@Jeff indeed, Douglas Adams got to 5 in the trilogy

Are you asking what the fourth book in a series is called or what a four book complete set is called? The third book itself is not a trilogy. The third volume in a series of three four, whatever, is called 'the third volume'. A sequence of three books all together is a called a trilogy. Whatever things about '4' are called I'll leave that to real answers, but does that clear up things in your question?

One might consider publishing a tautology - two volumes with exactly the same content, but worded differently.

Quadrilogy!
But in general tetralogy / quartet for four.

Unless you're talking about the set of books starting with The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, in which case it's a six-book trilogy.

The set may be referred to as a tetralogy, quartet, or quadrilogy, but the question is about the fourth item in the set. But then again, "If the third is a trilogy" isn't clear to me.
