Южен парк в Общомедия

Южният парк е един от големите паркове в София, разположен – както името му подсказва, в южната част на града. Площта му е 1,48 кв. км.[1]


Градските пътни артерии, дефиниращи границите на парка, са булевард „Петко Ю. Тодоров“ на запад, улица „Бяла черква“ на север, улица „Хенрих Ибсен“ на юг и югозапад и улица „Козяк“ на изток. Недалеч, северозападно от парка преминава бул. „България“.


В Южния парк се срещат 65 вида птици, 29 от тях защитени, а 2 записани в Червената книга на България.[2]Перловската река пресича парка.


В Южния парк нерядко се изнасят безплатни концерти, провеждат се био-изложби и пазари, спортни и други активности
