I think there are still some Americans who find the tautologous I might be could do it (regional dialect?) quite "natural", but that one certainly doesn't work for me. On the other hand, there's no obvious reason why I won't accept that, whereas I'm reasonably happy with I maybe could do it (though I'd much prefer I could maybe do it).
