When I read a book I saw the word baseless and my question is how can I use this word like an American person and sound more natural like an American.
For example:
Your project is baseless you need more information about space.
The rumours were completely baseless.
What way is the more correct or what way sounds more like an American person?

My personal experience is limited to the New York metro area. Baseless is used idiomatically in terms like baseless accusations, but it’s not a commonly heard word. To my mind it’s like calling something “totally without merit”, a quasi-legal expression that has drifted into everyday speech.
